Metal mounting block for solar PV systems
This product is a metal fixing block used in photovoltaic (PV) systems, primarily serving as a connecting and fastening component. The dimensional accuracy requirement is relatively moderate. The material is carbon steel, and the surface treatment is hot-dip galvanizing to ensure excellent corrosion resistance for outdoor applications.
The part specification is a 9.5 × 10 mm rectangular cross-section with a length of 50 mm, featuring R corners on all sides. Considering the annual demand reaches tens of millions of pieces, the customer prefers a high-efficiency and cost-effective cold forging process for mass production.
After in-depth technical discussions with the customer, we propose the following manufacturing process:
Use square cold heading wire rod as raw material
Form the basic shape through a cold forging process
Perform automated hole punching using dedicated equipment
Apply hot-dip galvanizing to improve corrosion resistance
Conduct M8 thread tapping after galvanizing to ensure thread accuracy and assembly performance
This solution ensures product functionality and quality while significantly improving production efficiency and reducing overall manufacturing costs, making it particularly suitable for large-scale and stable production requirements.
